My wife's creation/ influence.

Thank you Joseph.
Ladies, thank you for the likes.

Very nice.
I had taken Selsor temmoku, John Britt ^6 book, and added 5% magnesium Carb to get this same effect, Gold sparkles.

This is PRETTY. It has so many textures. I can see rubbing my hand all over it while drinking from it.
Keep it up, Joseph F. Looking good!

Beautiful ombre.

This is really neat. Reminds me of a French Masters painting whose name alludes me. Very nicely presented with the picture frame. Very nice!

Excellent grouping. Love the green piece in the foreground. Good Luck!

Joseph, When dipping was all I knew, I was always bummed by the glazing session and by the glaze fire results. Then I started noticing those piece from those who spray. Had the spraygun for 6 months before trying it, fear of the unknown. Now, there is no going back to the dipping. There was a transition and a learning curve for spraying greenware. More glaze testing. But now that is over and it is getting on with making!

Thank you so much. This is a favorite color scheme. Only a few have seen this and they really like it.

Old Lady, Thanks for the analogy.

Thank You All!!
SH Copper Ash sprayed around the rim, inside and out. Butterscotch thinly then layered over Waterfall Brown and in the very bottom is Selsor Temmoku with 5% magnesium carb added to create little gold specks.

Marko, thank You. The middle of the paten is Watercolor Blue. Yes, Pete's Seafoam over Strontium Crystal Magic Cool.
Take all of your glazes and divide them into iron and non-iron. Then try them over SCMC Iron and SCMC Cool. You will be amazed at the addition of color to your palette.

Nerd, I often wonder what is my style. It seems to be all over the place.
Thank You.

Thank you Joseph for your kind words.

Cool. Marko. Very nice shape.
I too just made my first chalice and paten for my wife. She has just gotten her own church and needed the chalice and paten.
Don't you love waterfall brown? Try it over strontium crystal matte for Iron. Every glaze kiln load has at least 1 piece with waterfall brown.

Thank You.
The profile was incorporated while forming using a credit card with the profile cut into it. Drilled 2 holes into the credit card then finished the profile with scalpel blade. One of the most used profiles.

Yes, Joseph, it is Pete's Sea Foam over SCMC. For effect, I leave a swath not glazed with the SCMC. I like doing this because it gives a whole new color, the blackened part, to the piece.

Very Nice. The glaze combo has movement.
-
Love your trays! I like the "live" edge also.
-
Too Cool OldLady. Great work and planning for future pieces.

Yes. My test tile was dipped, 2 seconds for each glaze with SG 165-170, and it came out like this piece. Spraying has been a challenge. Each time the OS2 was sprayed too thin. Spray and wait till dry 3 times for the base, Oil spot 1. Then poured the Oil Spot 2.
This is very informative and worth trying Frank Vickery's way (there is a .pdf attachment about midways on this page) ---> http://cone6pots.ning.com/forum/topics/6-oil-spot-mfa-thesis

Coffee mugs, soup mugs, bowls.
The alumina is a bit low. Going to add 6.5% ball and test.

Thank You both.
