cone 6 load- getting ready



mixing black clay (20% iron oxide) with translucent white porcelain- didn't check the shrinkage first so this is a gamble.

It worked! I only had one piece separate at the contact between the black & white clay and you can't see it - it was another lamp behind the two up top. It was a landscape type pattern and it was a land/water edge that separated- I think I'll keep it.

Good to hear! I really like the look of white slip on dark clay, are you going to post a picture of finished pieces?
