Two woodfired American style mugs. Local granite, local clay and wood ash glaze. Both were sold at a solo exhibition held in Japan in 2011.

I know you make teaware for the Japanese market; so, is there a Japanese buyer for this sort of american woodfired mug?

Yes, there is.  A very strong one.  In the "Land of Tea".... coffee is pretty widely and frequently consumed.  And the aesthetic sensibility for other types of ceramics in Japan carries across a lot.  I've sold every "mug" that I've shipped over or made and sold over there....and at very good price points.

best,
