Black Leopard Appaloosa Wee Bairn

Wee Bairn - earthenware ceramic pony foal, sculpted by myself in 2003. Only 8 have been produced of the 10 piece edition. He (some are fillies) is a custom glazed black leopard appaloosa with a flippy tail standing 2.5 inches tall! I mold and cast these myself, each one resculpted to be unique and then glazed in various real horse colors.  All work completed in the kiln and fired to Orton cones 04 through 016 using under glazes, clear satin glaze (gloss for the eyes), and overglazes.  Eventually I will cast two more pieces but currently I have reworked this foal with longer legs to make him over into another pony breed and repositioning it into an action pose.  I will remold and re-release the new version once I have the mother also sculpted and ready to cast, probably in 2025.
