Hi: I made several pieces using a red clay.  Does anyone have suggestions for raku glazes that will work well/look good on red pieces?

Thanks.

Have you fired this red clay in raku before? It may not have the thermal shock requirements you need for raku if it is a tight earthenware body.
Just a thought.

There is a glaze called Azurite that my supplier makes but its for cone6. A beautiful waterfall blue on a high iron content clay. I  think you might want to just look for raku specific glazes. Cone6 will not melt properly at raku temperatures. You can try different color slips and then fire with a clear crackle raku glaze? Let us know how it works out!
