TortoiseAvenger
Hello: Getting into making my own glazes. My source says to use G-200 HP Feldspar, but where I really want to order form only carries Custer or Minspar. I really want to stick as close to the recipe as possible, because they have been tested for leaching, which is important to me. My source does mention Custer, but states that recently the qualities have varied substantially, and therefore recommends the G-200. So--which, if any, should I use? I'd rather not order from two places--but I will if I must. Thanks, TA

Min
Calcium and alumina are about the same in both G200 HP and Custer, however the sodium, potassium and silica are different enough to make a difference in some glazes. BTW G200 is not the same as G200HP. Post the recipe and someone should be able to help.
