Bob Coyle
Well the local studio tour is over and I tried out a couple of new ideas. My wife is a weaver and we like to work together on stuff. So how do you combine ceramics with weaving? The pictures attached shows what we came up with. I was worried that people would not understand what we were doing. After all who ever heard of a clay and woven sculpture? Glad to say both pieces sold almost immediately, and we got a commission for another sculpture. So now the pressure is on to come up with more creative ideas, which is as good as it can get for an artist. Any ideas??
Diane Puckett
Nice work! Very southwestern, which fits with your locale.
docweathers
Very nice integration of steel and weaving. I particularly like the second one, which takes better advantage of the steel component. I look forward to seeing more integration of media from you.
Denice
I really like the second one with the metal component, I love all kinds of southwestern art and I think you could be commercially successful with this in your area. It gives people some new and fresh art to add to their collection. Denice
