Jillicans
I haven't played with clay for a few years and my old glaze which has dried up. It is hardened and in chunks. Is there any way to reconstitute it? Any help would be appreciated.
Mark C.
Bust up the chunks and if its a small amount put it in a blender and whip it -if its a larger batch bust up the dry chunks(hammer/mallet or wack it in a plastic bag- whatever) and soak in bucket then blend with a jiffy type mixer in a drill. Keep it thicker and adjust water content at end. Mark
bciskepottery
When busting up the chunks and/or running them through the blender, be sure to wear a respirator or mask . . . you don't want to inhale the dust.
Jillicans
I thought this might be a simple task, but one never knows having not worked with glazes that much. Thank you for your advice. Much appreciated.
