AndyL
We've had power failures in our area because of the high temperatures. I'm wondering if a Glaze Fire (cone 6, e23T L&L Kiln w/Computer Control) can be refired after a power failure without affecting the glazes? Any thoughts on this appreciated. bciskepottery
Fire it up. You should not have any problems.

neilestrick
It also depends on when it shut down. Most of the time it will be fine. But if it shut down when the glazes were bubbly but not yet fully settled down, it can cause crawling. Definitely worth trying a refire, though. TJR
If you have cones in your kiln, I would definitely replace them, especially if you are using a kiln sitter. If you are using witness cones, they may not be accurate. If you are using a computer controller, fire it up. Your glazes should be O.K. unless you were at the very top end. You may have to sand off any pin holes. TJR.
