Bullfrog
I'm newly returning to the wonderful art of ceramics. I started doing it with my mom when I was 8 years old and did it for about 4 years. But just now I am getting back into it and I know that so many things have changed, especially the overall appreciation of the art. I am in the process of buying out a ceramic business and will be acquiring well over 1,000 molds, but because the lady that was doing it having become sick in 2012, she has not been able to fully take care of everything she had. What my problem is is that quite a few of the molds I have seen in one location seems to have dirt dobber nests in them. My biggest issue is getting the slip molds cleaned properly so that I will be able to start using them. I know the molds are delicate and will need my Keen eye to make the correct again. I'm just hoping that they will be salvageable, which I believe they will be. Any and all suggestions, tricks, and ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for taking the time to read this. Chilly
I've stood them in a sink with the tap running into them. Not a jet, but gentle. Then let them dry in the sun or a breeze.
