mkhaydon2 Posted May 8, 2018 Report Share Posted May 8, 2018 I Have several Olympic kilns 2327HE, 2827HE and 2027HE with Bartlett controllers...new in 2012, they all have between 300-500 firings and they are all beginning to error-1 out on me at the same time. We have changed; elements; thermocouples; relays; power in the building...(208) etc etc. Has anyone had a similar problem? And what did you do? neilestrick Posted May 8, 2018 Report Share Posted May 8, 2018 Error 1 simply means that it's not getting hot, or at least thinks it's not getting hot. It could be anything- relays, elements, thermocouples, a bad connection, etc. Are you sure the elements are good? Have you checked their resistance with an ohm meter? Are you sure all the connections are tight? If you're doing cone 5/6 work, you should be averaging about 150 firings per set of elements. It's also possible you have a sticky relay. Sometimes they stick when they get warm at high temps and won't switch when the controller tells them to. How hot are they getting before they error?
