Kaolinwasher
thank you , I live in Isanti county Minnesota , the sand is glacial material, called the great anoka sand plain I looked all over for an analysis and could find non , so i got it analyzed myself by ALS labs in nevada the sand is already very fine -20 mesh and is derived from outwash of the desmoins lobe i wondered if it was arkosic, ( 25% or more feldspar) and it turns out it is this was the analysis i got grinding in 8 hours with 3/4 quartz pebbles 86.77 silica 6.27 alumina 1.22 Iron 1.35 potassium 1.75 sodium .33 mg 1.10 calcium and only .13 titanium i used the sand at 50% and added 21% G2 feldspar 20% Grollig kaolin and 21 Calcium carbonate and to top it off 1 % V-gum t i can get it fairly thick without it cracking on bisq and it gets a nice color this meets the sung eutectic of 66.96 silica 14.05 alumina 4.90 kN and .69 Iron needs just a tab more Iron and 12.44 calcium more testing to do .
