debelahleek
Hey guys! Total newbie here. I just wanted to post a pic of what's been happening to my plates once dried for trimming. I use a wethertex bat for throwing and keep the plate on until dry enough to trim and ... this happens. Any clues as to what I'm doing wrong? Thank you! Mark C.
Wire your plates off after throwing and flip them when they can flip without warping so bottom dries evenly.
Marcia Selsor
I am not sure I know what you mean by flaky. Did you cut under the plate after throwing it as mark suggests? It is easier to do it right after throwing it. But what is the flaky surface coming from? After flipping the plate over for trimming, I use a soft sponge under the center if it sagging. Please post a photo of the flaky surface. Keep the image no more than 50 k.
