cal36 Posted December 23, 2015 Report Share Posted December 23, 2015 Hi I am busy working on some ballerina figures and would like to make a flesh-like shiny brown glaze for them-but with some variegated effects in the glaze, and need quite a thick, smooth finish. have tried a few recipes unsuccessfully Can anyone help please? MatthewV Posted December 24, 2015 Report Share Posted December 24, 2015 Rutile helps with variegation (0-6%) Iron is the most common brown (5-10%) Adding a little manganese might also be desirable (0-2%) And my quick opinion on the ranges I might play with.
