Can A Porcelain Floor Tile Be Used As A Shelf In Low Fire Electric Kiln?

Hi ceramic arts daily folks! I am new to pottery and have a friend who has a low temperature electric kiln. We are in Brazil where it is hard or very expensive to get kiln supplies. If I were to use a porcelain (not ceramic) tile with the back side facing up, would this work? My fears are tile glaze melting, tile cracking....any advice would be helpful. Thank you in advance.

First off Porcelain tile is ceramic.

Second you mean turning the glazed side down and use as a shelve?

this will not work as glaze can melt and stick to whatever its sitting on.

You will need bricks(kiln bricks or shelves ) to fire work in a kiln.
