yopi
Hello, I need to buy a pyrometer and I don't know where to buy it. The thing is it must be unexpensive, portable and the shop should be able to ship it within the States. Does any one know where can I buy one? Thank you. Guest JBaymore
In this day .... stay away from cheap analog meters. Even cheap digitals are more accurate than an analog that is something like =/- 2% of full scale on the meter. And then there is calibrating them if you use any extension wire. (2500F x .02= 50 degrees. So when it says 1800 F.... it actually can be anywhere from 1750 F to 1850 F.) I prefer Omega Engineering products for when I am working for my kiln clients (or myself ). Good quality. best, .......................john

Mark C.
I'm a fan of Flukes-I like the last generation so they are cheap on e-bay.You will need a thermocouple and wire and plug elsewhere for them on the e-site. There has been many a post about these -do a search on this on main page. Mark
Rex Johnson
I'm pretty happy with this digital Bartlett, available several ceramics dealers.
