SummerAme
So I recently made canonic jars as an end of the year project. I didn't plan ahead of myself and made the jars in class and the lids at home. I than saw a problem... How in the world will these fit? They were too dry to do anything. So I prety much flattened the tops so the lids can sit on them. I want to put them on my shelf, but I fear they are too unstable. I was just going to glue (e6000) them together since they won't be functional jars. But I wanted to hear some other ideas.

Benzine
It would be a shame to glue them. How about buying some sheets of cork, cutting it to the diameter of the jar, then glue that to the underside of the lid. The lid will have a nice snug fit, and be stable.
