JennNJ Posted November 6, 2023 Report Share Posted November 6, 2023 Hi, I have a 10 sided L&L kiln (second hand) and got an Envirovent 2. I just finished installation according to directions (3 small holes in the bottom, 3 holes evenly spaced on the top) over the weekend and when testing the top holes are not drawing flame in. I turned on the fan and tested the holes in the bottom, they draw flame perfectly fine, but the top, the flame do not draw in. Any suggestions? My kiln is in a utility room under the house so I would like to get this working so I can divert fumes when I fire. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Dick White Posted November 6, 2023 Report Share Posted November 6, 2023 The flame should be drawn in only in the bottom holes. There is too much leakage around other areas of the kiln (the seams between sections, the peeps) for the inflow to be concentrated solely at the top holes.
