Saint
Hello, I am wanting to use a silver bowl as a mold for a project in my ceramics class, but I want to make sure first that having clay in the bowl overnight to set won't damage the bowl in any way or have a negative affect on the clay. Im using reclaimed clay so its a mixture of a couple types of clay, I can find out what kinds if that matters. I hope this is an okay place to ask, I haven't used this forum before. I tried researching my question but all I found was Information on silver clay lol.
Dick White
Put a single layer of Saran Wrap or similar thin plastic film over the silver bowl to protect it from possible chemical reactions with something in the clay. It is probable that nothing untoward would happen with the clay in the bowl, but don't take the chance on the unknown.
