Juhasz
Hello, I'm a middle school art teacher, new to this forum - I'm interested in recommendations for a pottery wheel that would be good for my students to use. I teach 7th and 8th grade in San Jose, CA. We've done mostly hand building, and just raised enough money to buy one wheel. We have limited space, and the wheel will be in an area that students walk by on their way into the classroom. My budget is about $1,000. Thank You! neilestrick
Any wheel that is in your price range will work fine. Just don't get any of those cheap wheels on Amazon.
LeeU
If it is still in the price range, a wheel that will "reverse" turn is a nice feature and especially helpful for left-handed people. I'm right-handed but I like being able to run the wheel clockwise for imposing certain creative affects. Left-handers usually find the reverse turning easier & more comfortable/natural to handle. based on their physiology.
