not a bot
Hi, We have placed an order for a top load electric kiln and purchased some CoreLite shelves. Now we need to locate and acquire some kiln posts to support the shelves. We chose to start out with the CoreLite shelves rather than starting with the kiln manufacturer's furniture kit, and purchased the same number of round and half round items that were provided in the kit. We plan to order a similar variety of post sizes that would have been supplied in the "kit". Are there any concerns we should learn to recognize about matching kiln post materials to shelving materials? Is there a favorite kiln post product or are they regarded as mix and match commodities? Thank you! Edited July 16, 2022 by not a bot
neilestrick
Any kiln posts work with any shelves. Get 1.5" wide posts, not the skinny ones. Get square, not triangle. Pres and iffetorbay

It looks like it would be easier to fit more wares around triangular posts than square ones... Edited May 26 by HenryBurlingame

Better support when two shelves share a post. The space savings is negligible. Pres, iffetorbay and HenryBurlingame
HenryBurlingame
Aside from shape are there any significant differences between kiln posts from different manufacturers?
