Diane Leifer
I have had trouble with crawling when I dip a mug in white and then dip again in another color on the rim or at a diagonal. Is this a problem with glaze getting too thick?
Min
Glazes crawl when they are too thick so this could very well be it. They call also crawl from oily or really dusty surfaces. Clean hands, no lotions and if in doubt wipe the pot down before glazing. Do some test tiles same thickness as pots and try single, double, thick, thin, overlap etc dips to see how thick you can go without crawling. Welcome to the forum.
