Pepperpotterytbirx
Hi Perfect-fire digital board. It Worked fine until the breaker was manually turned off. When I flip the breaker back on, the kiln automatically turns on full heat. The display shows a varied number of numbers from error to 777 to 7799, 8899. I read a tip, saying while plugging the kiln back in have the “select” button pressed. I do this, and on the second or third attempt the kiln returns to normal function. Firing to cone with either bisque or glaze has not been an issue. Please help - why is it automatically powering up ?? What can I do thank you in advance
neilestrick
That controller was used from 1992 to 1999, so it's super old. That is the most likely the cause of the problem. The other possibility is that you have a relay that is sticking. Although since it's firing okay that's probably not it, especially if all the relays are coming on together. Controllers are little computers, so they stop working at some point.
