  1. When I purchased it the person had a sheet metal circle cut out the same size of element so that it what they must have done. Unfortunately the person that owned was deceased so I could not ask questions. Much appreciated
  2. I read the body is made of refractory porcelain and I wonder if the element plate is the same
  3. I tried to take my small detail vibrating sander to it and it did not do much. I thought the same as you and wore my respirator when I did it. Have any idea how deep the elements are imbedded in it ? Also I wonder how thick the buildup is on it. Thanks for your help
  4. Hard almost like a stoneware material. I would guess enamel.
  5. No this is inside the kiln where you lay the items to get fired. If you look close you can see the heating element lines
  6. I am new to this and i just acquired a trinkit studio kiln that works great but is dirty. A few places it flaked of in shallow chips f as can be seen in the picture. Any help on cleaning would be appreciated.
