I find there are old school mind sets and new world mind sets. What I’ve found is that there is nothing better than quality craftsmanship. I’ve seen reviews on the electric models and unless you want to spend a ton of money, the motors break down quickly. You need to be wary of the weight of the clay and force exerted. So, I’d assume if someone wanted to make a profession out of potting, it would be more cost effective to spend the money up front on quality craftsmanship rather spending it on replacements.
