  1.  have my monstrous stack of glaze samples ready. Have to do one more busque. It finally cooled down today. So I can hopefully take the plastic off and get everything dried out.

Have you inspected the wiring? I don't think monitoring the firing is being paranoid.

      Hope your knee cooperates tomorrow.

It looks like it has a new cord and plug in. I had my electrician install the receptacle for it and the breaker. He looked it over and did not detect any problems.  When it is on low, it does make a popping noise sometimes.....so I watch that.  I don't see any sparking.

I am loading the glaze fire now. These small cone 6 cones are weird...kind of hot pink.....is that right? I should finish loading tomorrow.  How long is a cone 6 fire generally?

Humming and clicking is normal, popping could be a loose electrical connection.

Yup, cone 6's are pink before they're fired. With no slow cooling down just a straight cone 6 firing about 8 hours plus or minus. Can fire faster, small kilns can go like a rocket but that's not always a good thing.
