I fire my pots with the lid on, but sometimes the lid adheres to the gallery. How can I avoid that?

You can also mix approx 1 heaping teaspoon of alumina hydrate into about a cup of your cold wax resist, keep it stirred up well as you use it. (and add some food colouring so you don't get it mixed up with your regular wax resist). Avoid getting any on your glaze or it will get really rough.

I add a teaspoon into my liquid wax too. But don't use this for was resist decorating. The alumina can mess up a glazed area,

you might also get plucking on the feet. Use wax with alumina for the bottoms as well. Or you can use a kiln wash with at least 5% alumina
