  1. Thanks for your thoughts, Definitely on some your lip hits the clay. It is a vitrified surface so the bare clay though rough is not sandpapery, it is glassified. I think the less thick glaze stripe at the lip, looks more balanced than bringing the glaze down much lower, as I did on some. Still, perhaps I should have brought the glaze down a bit lower on some.
  2. Thank you sir, that was my target. These are of weighed 12 oz and 16 oz certified nontoxic talc-free Amaco #58 warm brown ^5, I do throw shot glasses and am prototyping drawer pull knobs off of the hump.

    Of Late

Stuff that I've done lately, & still have.
  4. From the album: Of Late

Daniel Striped Tiger! Stoneware cups. Primitive though not meant to suggest some or other ethnic cultural primitivism that has been, in other words, not specifically primitive though intentionally so. These are not 'irregular walled' or any of that b.s. These are uniformely and finely made cups. More like, the primitive that is to come. Sort of the other side of the spectrum from "splash-painted". Just cups and, if one is particularly ambitious, 3 stripes to ponder.

    Craze-y

    From the album: Of Late

Somehow my previous trim of this image resulted in an out of proportion displayed image. Or, so it seemed... So, I posted the original. I'm working out a programmed ramp-down sequence to slow my cooling rate, thinking that might solve the crazing issue. Doesn't matter for a vitrified bud vase though I don't prefer inadvertent crazing.

    craze-y

Repeated attempts to solve a glaze fit issue, resulted in a glaze fit issue featuring micro-bubbles as well.

    Bowls

    From the album: Of Late

Stoneware bowls. Comment freely. One banded, one plain. 3 stripes, is about as fancy as I get. it is nice how the unglazed exterior feels on the hand; secure, direct, under control. Not slippery really, though vitrified.

    Mug Detail

    From the album: Of Late

Stoneware mug. Comment welcome. It is plain but, a fine and functional mug. Not thrilled with the handle though it's no disaster either. The plain mugs can be gripped around the girth of the mug with the fingers getting good traction.

    Guinomi

Nice transitions, lots going on, yet unobtrusively. Carries itself well.

Nice work, I really dig the movement in the swirls.
