green spring show 008

oldlady

ginko leaf tray done in Oribe green. recipe is not stable. proved with the vinegar test. tray sold to same person who bought the tree of life rectangular tray. new glaze on bottom tray. different recipe done with the new copper carbonate that is not like the old stuff. much weaker color. lots of re-fires with this glaze. have to get used to pouring it on thickly with my sprayer. have increased amount of copper to 5% since this piece.

thank you, i have added more copper to make it  darker yet still transparent green.  the thickness and location of the veins in the leaves and are part of the reason i use them. the heart shape is the added attraction.  i believe that color is either 3 or 4% copper.  i now use 5.  see last photo this series.
