next time i will use a thick paint roller on the original slab.  i hate the brush marks.  and i will remember to remove the leaves on time.  hope i have many next times.

 

the pale piece is too pale, just needs more copper.

I agree with you that the light piece is too pale. The darker one is very lovely.
