Handbuilt (tebineri) Chawan (for Chanoyu) with American Shino glaze over iron bearing slip, and Karatsu-style ash glaze interior. Wood fired in my noborigama. Orton Cone 10.

Frederich, this is for a very specific purpose...... Japanese Tea Ceremony.  It is not intended for "day-to-day" drinking of tea.  For that ... a yunomi or a cup/mug is far more suitable as you note.
