The Shoulders We Stand On - Nceca Tampa

Recommended Posts

The Potters Council juried show of Members work, "The Shoulders We Stand On", will be held in the Nancy Markoe Gallery at 3112 Pass a Grille Way, St. Pete Beach.

BUT ...The Bus Tours for NCECA Tampa are not going to St. Pete beach!

So, in order for you all to see this remarkable show of over 50 Members work we have rented a trolley to take you to the beach and back to the Tour bus stop.

Here is how you can get there .... take the #3 - St. Petersburg Bus Tour and get off at stop 1B, "Craftsman House". Look for signs and for our trolley to take you to the beach.

It is a 15 minute ride to the beach. There is also a show of Cynthia Bringle and Sandra McKenzie Schmidtt next door. Nearby is another pottery show at the Suntan Art Center.

Come see the shows, eat lunch on the beach then grab the trolley back to the tour stop.First shuttle pick up is at 10 am and last pick up at Nancy Markoe is 3:30 pm.

If you would rather share a cab out from downtown, the cost is about $21 for a van cab that seats four ...BATS TAXI 727 367 3702

For our Friday night opening party, we will have a continuous bus loop starting at the Hyatt Regency to the Nancy Markoe Gallery. First Pick-up 5:15 and Last Pick-up 6:45 Last Shuttle from the Show at 9pm

We are so proud of this show and its partner shows. We want to make sure every one of you sees them. Also on Friday night, Potters Council will be celebrating its tenth birthday, so come on out and get a slice of cake!!

See you there!!

The show was beautiful. Nancy Margoe did a great job installing. there was a good bunch out for the reception. We cut the 10 th anniversary cake. it was a lovely event..Due to an accident on the bridge, the bus schedule didn't work, but it did not diminish the quality of the event. good Job to Carolyn,Chris and the Potters Council Founding Members, and Bill Jones selection for a handsome show. Congratulation to Potters Council for 10 years of supporting the potters community!

I loved this show! It was so great to see Sandra Mackenzie Schmidt reconnect

with Jan Richardson after soo many years! Both of them make clay houses...

but Jan is semi-retired and Sandra just keeps working hard exhibiting at every

Buyers Market. It made me think about documenting all these incredible

success stories from over the years... so many students are told that they

really "can't" make a living unless they also teach... and while multiple

sources of income are often the norm, it's great to see productive sculptural

clay artists who just focus on supplying work to galleries and shops.

It's not as hard as it may seem... just requires a little knowledge and

disipline! Can't wait for my lecture today at Fla Craftsmen.
