nu2CAD
I have roughly 3-4 gallons of slip clay sealed in a 5 gal bucket. How long can slip clay be stored before it goes bad/rots etc? Would stirring it occasionally help?
MMB
Cant see why slip would go bad in any way. I mean its clay, earth. I remember back in school people used to freak out when mold got on the clay but it didnt hurt anything. Ive had two bucks of slip with lids and sometimes without in my studio for months and nothing has happened to them. So no worries. You want to at least keep them covered so that you dont lose your water consistancy dude to evaporation. Obviously that takes a lot of time but it happens none the less. mudpup
I agree.....it is earth. Have had some problem with mold on paper clay but keep a bottle of diluted bleach in the studio and spray it in the bag when it get too black. Clears up and doesn't affect clay or using it later.
