I was putting the circle cutout off centered, I like your design much better. Mine seem to come out looking somewhat lumpy / bloated looking, do you inflate yours or just seal off the ends? bciskepottery Posted February 15, 2014 Report Share Posted February 15, 2014 Yes, I seal the ends and I inflate them. I also shape the form while inflating. I use a 2 1/2 inch diameter extrusion, 5 1/2 inches long. I also thin the walls of the extruded cylinder with a rolling pin. The wall thickness of the extruded form seems too stiff. The vases in the picture show the results of about four years working with and improving the form . . . mostly how I construct them. Little things changed each time I would make them to improve them.
