eLee
Forgive me if this is a silly question, however the internet has not been very forthcoming with the answer. I was hoping someone on this site could help. I am getting ready to purchase glaze for some Cone 9 stoneware items I have been working on. Can I use comercial High Fire (cone 5-7) glazes on these pieces if I fire them to that temperature? Looks like I would have to mix my own High Fire glazes otherwise, which I could do, but it would be a larger project then I had originally planed for. The pieces are currently in the greenware stage, if that makes any differance. Thanks eLee
Mark C.
Your clay will not be vitrified at cone 5-7-just buy some cone 10 premade glazes Mark
eLee
It is a pretty white cone 9, so I will see what I can find for per made glazes for that. Thanks sooooo much for the info!
