Benzine
Ha! I too live in The Hawkeye State, though, I'm closer to Cedar Rapids. That much Raku clay is tempting. I think it would take me years, to go through it.
Benzine
Yeah, I'd say it would about a three hour drive, each way.
Benzine
I was tempted, just not sure I wanted to drive that far, for clay. Now, if you had an electric wheel for sale, I'd drive that far.

Benzine
Everyone seems to know Okoboji. Who is your professor?
Benzine
Everyone seems to know Okoboji. Who is your professor? I had to look it up in Google maps as I had no idea... Professor was Maureen Seamonds, that was a few years back, she's a great lady. She was the founder of a medical supply company which she started as she has a son with multiple disabilities. http://www.mymedmart.com/aboutus.htm "Mo" from Iowa Central? I've talked to her before, when I taught in the area. She wanted my students to participate in an art show, but I already had them committed to another show. One of my current co-workers had her as an instructor, and the guy I learned Raku from, in turn learned from her.
