Rex Johnson
Any idea about how the cone 5 glazes (commercial Laguna and Coyote) I have would work with cone 10 clays? Would there be a major problem? I bought some of the Laguna Clay cone 10 wood fire clay (WC-899) to try throwing and barrel firing. Man, the stuff is way easier to center and thrown than the cone 5 B-mix (WC-401 ). I'm thinking about getting some more and maybe going to cone 10 B-mix as well to see if that’s easier to throw too. Up til now I'm just finding most cone 5 clays I've tried are less plastic and more finicky for production throwing.. BTW, I'm gas firing to cone 5-6. Glazes I'm using: DGLAWC520-5 Cone 5-10 Glaze - #16 Transparent GLLAMS74-P Laguna Moroccan Sand Glazes Spring Green GLCYMBG061-P Coyote Cone 6 Glaze Desert Sage DGCYMBG042-10 Coyote Cone 6 Glaze Shino 042 DGCYMBG070-10 Coyote Cone 6 Glaze Pams Blue

As for issues with specific glazes, only solution is to test, test, test! Good luck!
