I am a long ago ceramic graduate and now living in the Virgin Islands for a garment painter. His designs are delightful. He has recently expressed interest in offering 'standard' size 4.25x 4.25" tiles. My first attempts of researching sources is taking me to sentimental tiles ie photo transfers of the cute children or pets of your life- pricing 4x 4" at $13. ea! Not at all what we are looking for. Can someone suggest how this small business can have half a dozen tiles made in production?

6 tiles is not worth many folks time-the 13$ seems fair for custom work of 6 tiles to me no matter what size they are.

I'm a production potter not tile maker but have made tiles before

I long ago stopped taking custom orders as they where not worth it-6 tiles falls in that category for me.

Ok after reading Lucille's post I may have misread your six tiles

If you want a true zillion production run of 6 designs heres a custom Tile shop I checked out a few years back and they do custom work.

They can handle your job as they fire 10 kilns 7 days a week.

The cost may be high but the quality is high

They are in Silver city New Mexico

Thank you Mark. This is just the 'jump start' I was hoping for. And you 'got it' I'm am looking for large runs of (6) different tile designs. I'll do the research to see if we can meet SYZYGY's minimum production quota. I had found an east coast china company www.marylandchina.com who offer commercial decorating (transfer imaging). They only work on white porcelain or china clay.
