This was a cone 10 glaze and was used in a wood firing. I love the look of the glaze and would like to use it again. I have now looked up quinbai and found images of historic pots with what appears to be a white to white grey glaze. Celadon? My glaze is juicy mottled grey where the has acted on it and a shiny red/brown elsewhere. I've scrolled through lists of glaze recipes and not found quinbai but have found some blue celadon recipes. Was the glaze applied all over the pot or only on selected areas? This would make a significant difference in the appearance of a pot that was wood fired, especially if the pot was directly in the flame path an near the fire box.
