Chris Campbell
Under the glue & clay mix topic we saw images of extruded coils knitted like wool ... Then on Facebook this morning I catch the work of Annette Bugansky and wonder how I missed seeing it sooner! http://style-files.com/2007/10/11/porcelain-vases-by-annette-bugansky/ Take a peek and google this artist to see pottery that mimics knitting. So easy to make but such a hard thing to think of doing ... Great imagination and graceful execution.
Marcia Selsor
I really admire Annette Bugansky's work. I find it very appealing... I also work with translucent porcelain and appreciate what she is doing. Marcia
clayshapes
I saw an artist at the Brooklyn Flea a couple weekends ago who does something similar -- and then noticed her shop on Etsy. I assumed they were using knitted pieces, and rolling the designs onto slabs and forming the pieces - but I see that this artist is slip casting. Very cozy looking. Here's the link if you are interested in the other artist doing something similar. http://www.etsy.com/shop/reshapestudio?ref=seller_info
