cooolmlk
How thin can large (18"x24" - 30"x40") slabs be and be structurally sound? Imagine a large tile, basically. Completely flat. Other than a low-fire clay with grog, does anyone have any suggestions on what clay and procedures are best for this? Thank you.

Chris Campbell
Welcome to the forum! The simple question you are asking is really a HUGE one. There are a thousand different answers depending on your further input. For instance ... What will you be using it for? ... Structurally sound for hanging on a wall is a world away from a coffee table surface or a tiled floor or mosaic installation. How experienced are you in clay? What access to kilns and clays have you got? You really need to give more info on the project and also your clay experience in order to get really useful answers.
