dustyroselee
Does anyone know if you draw blue underglaze lines on white porcelain and wait for it to dry completely, then put white underglaze over the blue lines, would you be able to see the lines under the white upon firing? Probably there would be a clear glaze on top of everything. Thanks for any comments or tips on how to do this. I want the blue lines to come through but look faint and wispy. Think you are making it more complicated than it needs to be, you could just water down the blue and use it like a watercolour wash/paint. If it's too dark add some of the white to the blue. dustyroselee
Good point - that's likely I am making it more complicated however I was going for the look of veins under translucent skin and am wondering if I can get that same depth just by painting. I would water down the white ug a fair bit though. Is using a semi transparent glaze an option over the blue or does it have to be clear?
