Hello! Red clay. Biscuit fired at 995 C Celsius, held for 10 minutes. Clear glaze designed for 1020 C to 1280 C Celsius. Glazed twice in a thick layer with flat brush. Glaze fired at 1040 C Celsius and held for 5 minutes. The third time I fired at 1055 C and held for 20 minutes, but nothing changed. Still the transparent glaze is dull and has large white spots. In a thin layer, the clear glaze is transparent and all is well. I made the eletric kiln myself and it is not commercially bought. Can anyone suggest where I am going wrong? I bought the transparent glaze in a ceramic shop.

I will add cones to the next firing. I am a beginner and have a lot to learn. Maybe the thermocouple is not showing the correct temperature that I programmed. Thanks for the reply!
