Hi all,
I have the opportunity to participate in a Raku fire where I bring in bisque fired work, glaze provided. I'm part of a cone 5 studio but could possibly fire cone 10 clay at my old studio. Neither studio would allow outside clay so I can't go for a Raku specific clay. Does it matter? And from what I've read it seems like grog is helpful.
Thanks!
Hi all,
I recently had some disappointing glaze results (muddy underglaze with clear). I was thinking about adding iron and/or copper oxide wash onto the glazed pieces and refiring. Would that cover over the previous glaze? I've seen a lot of advice for reglazing but less about using oxide washes.
Thanks!
