  1. Hello! I am someone who uses Earthenware in my work, however I have just received an enquiry from a friend who is new to pottery and uses Stoneware. We have already done a successful bisque to 999° and he is now looking to have his glazed work fired. I am comfortable with my own Earthenware brush ons, but he is using this Vitraglaze Layers brush on and I am unsure of the best schedule for firing it. https://www.hot-clay.com/vitraglaze-stoneware-layers-ocean-break.html Other Vitraglaze Stoneware glazes recommend 1240 with a 30 min soak, however the Layers range just states, fired to 1250. I would offer to run a test firing but its putting us both out two days which isn't ideal. Would love some advice as I would like to learn more about stoneware glazes in general and hope someone out there can help! Caitlin
