I found this helpful thread when looking for how to prep ware for refiring. I didn’t have much success with the hairspray method, so I tried the water and cornstarch spray recommended by Kktbs23 below. It did take a very long time to dry (about 20 hrs), but the wait was worth it. Once dry, the sprayed cornstarch adhered well and I could get a good smooth application of glaze on it. It fired up beautifully! I was so happy to save my pieces! Thanks for the advice everyone, and Kktbs23 for this great recipe. It’s a keeper!
