These are all images of work submitted for a competition. Our brief was to create something with a Memphis/South African feel to it.

View from the side. each bowl is slightly lower than the one that it rests in, ensuring that the level of the rims are straight when the bowls are stacked on top of each other.© ©

I used an underglaze to create the colour in each bowl. By moving the bowls around, you could create nice patterns. Black clay body© ©

Matt, all I can say is WOW. I normally work with a black clay body, but that is awesome. (and I have to build props for some of my work for glaze firings too) -
