  9. i use this cone 6 glaze all the time... tried and true TurquoiseNeph SyStrontiumFlintBall ClayLithiumTotal Also add:Copper CarbBentoniteEpson SaltComments:Very bright. Very turquoise, Matt, breaks black. Moves a lot if applied too thick. Create rough antique look a like texture.
  10. Ruth, I haven't tested this glaze but I remembered reading about it that is was a simple glaze to make. It's Tony Hansen 5X20 plus 10% zircopax White Gloss here's the formula 20-Frit 3134 20-EPK 20-Silica 20-Custer Spar 20-Wollanstonite 10-Zircopax. I read a review of a test by Alisa in Denmark, she said that Cobalt, RIO, Black Stain. Chrome and Yellow Ochre showed well under the glaze held their edge and stayed exactly as painted. Test away! i tested this... pretty nice glaze, a bit of streaking. for the most part, useful (especially for students.) thanks again!

  12. Orange glaze cone 6 >46.7 Potash >4 Kaolin >2 Bentonite >15 Bone ash >4 LIthium Carb. >16.9 Talc >11.4 Silica >10 RIO Gloss surface glaze that covered well. Nodiscernable difference where dipped twice. It is a rich, medium brown with very vivid orange streaking throughout. Surface is fluid but not runny. The orangesare very bright. Variation: added 10 Ochre Same base color, but no orange streaking. Insteadthe glaze has a creamy yellow cast where thickest.
