I can appreciate the cleverness in the piece: but I can admire even more the technical skills required to make it. So fess up, what kind of clay can hold that shape when forming? 1515art 260 Posted August 31, 2016 Report Share The clay I used is just Laguna soldate 60, it is a few years old and has gotten a bit more plastic. I think it throws pretty good and is easy to pull handles with. Quote Link to comment

I have spent the last 6 months traveling back and forth to the high Sierra prospecting for gold, giving clay a break. Other times if I'm in a rut I will just throw forms and not even focus on the glaze, pieces sometimes move to the garden unglazed as decorations. Quote Link to comment
