Oil Fired Catenary arch kiln

Marcia Selsor

This is another catenary Arch kiln I built along with a friend in 1973. It was made to fired with these modified diesel oil burners. Our design got published in 1973 issue of Studio Potter, Alternative fuels. The burners were modified to run on one, two or three different sized nozzles .5, 1and 1.5 gallons per hour. They could run in combination as well. This allowed for controlling the BTU output to fire the kiln. (1973)
